Riverhead Raceway competitors
will have four different options on how they can obtain their
Hoosier Racing Tires in 2008 as Eddie Partridge of TS Haulers,
the new distributor of the Hoosier brand disclosed today. The
2008 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series will open Saturday
evening May 3rd at the quarter mile oval.
Tires can be purchased three days a week leading-up to a race
meet at Riverhead as TS Haulers will be open from 9:00 am until
7:00 pm on Wednesdays, 9:00 am until 5:00 pm on Thursdays and on
Friday the hours of operation will be from 9:00 am until 6:00
pm. TS Haulers is located at 337 Edwards Avenue in Calverton
just west of the track.
In making the announcement on the distribution process,
Partridge also disclosed he’d provide a tire truck in the pits
at Riverhead Raceway on Saturdays as well to service teams. He
hopes to move that vehicle to the middle section of the pits to
be more centrally located for all race teams. More than likely
that location will be in the vicinity of where Chuck Steuer and
Jarrod Hayes pit.
Only tires purchased through TS Haulers will be permitted in
competition at Riverhead Raceway in 2008, a verification process
will be in place to enforce that policy.
With Hoosier Tires now being available three days prior to a
race meet team members will not have to be at the track an hour
or two earlier than the 12 noon pit gate opening.
