With springtime in the air and temperatures in
the upper 40s, this past Saturday made for a great day of
practice for EEKR Racing Go-Karts at Riverhead Raceway. Many go-karters
took advantage of the second round of practice to fine tune
their equipment.
Acting President Dave Brigati invited some 2 cycle go-karters to
take advantage of this last round of practice. Many of the 2
cycle drivers commented that they enjoyed practicing on the 1/5
of a mile high banked oval that is Riverhead Raceway. Dave and
the club are interested in working out a deal with the 2 cycle
go-karters to make a road course for them to race on.
JUST A REMINDER:
This coming Sunday, March 30th, will be an added practice to the
race schedule. Gates will open at 8am with practice to follow
from 11 a.m. until 5pm. All 2 cycle and 4 cycle go-karters are
welcome.
Final practice will be on Saturday, April 5th. Sunday, April
6th is the first scheduled race for EEKR Go-Karters at Riverhead
Raceway. After the regular scheduled races are completed, there
will be a non-points money race for the medium class.
