Wheel Tethers Now
Mandatory for Riverhead Legends
Riverhead Raceway chief technical
inspector Walter Bonczyk announced today that the Legend Race
Cars will be required to have wheel tethers for the 2010 season
and seasons to follow.
Bonczyk noted that the tethers are going to be mandatory for all
Legend Race Cars competing at the quarter mile oval in 2010,
along with the two pre-season practice dates set for April 17th
and April 24th. The Legend Race Cars are among seven divisions
of racing set for action for the 2010 Riverhead Raceway opening
night for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series on Saturday
evening May 1st at 5:00 pm.
