CHRIS BUSICK TO MOVE INTO THE CHARGER DIVISION FOR 2001...

After a successful 2000 season in the Blunderbusts, Lake Ronkonkoma’s Chris Busick has announced plans to move to the Chargers of Riverhead Raceway.
Busick will be driving a brand new car built by himself, the 61 Racing Team, and Long Island Racing veteran Charlie Seibert.  The new car will feature a brand new engine from Chuck Deon Race Engines with a ’98 Dodge Avenger body covering the chassis.
“Last year was my first year with one [Chuck Deon Engine], and I never did so good!”  Chris Busick commented on engine choice, “Chuck Deon helps me out however he can and he is like a friend.”
Last Year was the coming out year for the young gun Chris Busick in the ultra-competitive Blunderbusts.  He and his 61 Racing team produced a win during the season, nine top 5’s, 11 top 10’s, a 3rd place finish in the standings, and winner of the inaugural season-ending Blunderbust 50-lapper.
For 2001, Chris Busick is looking to have his success in the Blunderbusts carry over to the Chargers.  “We are trying to have a car that is up front every week.  We want to win at least one race and I am shooting for the top five in points… With proper sponsorship,” Chris stated about his goals for 2001.
In addition to Riverhead Chris is hoping to run his Charger at other tracks in the Northeast including a trip to the newly repaved Thompson Speedway, in Thompson, CT for the World Series.
However, the #61 is looking for sponsors in order to ensure the opportunity for great success in 2001.  With the amount of success Chris Busick has had in his short career, it is certain that he has the credentials for a good sponsorship, but as well as a productive and fruitful run in Riverhead Raceway’s Charger Division in 2001.
