Off the Island: Weekend Recap – Apr. 8

With spring in the air, Long Islanders who were eager to quench their need for speed ventured off the Island to primarily two places: Connecticut’s Waterford Speedbowl and Pennsylvania’s Mountain Speedway. Three of our own scored big. Charger and Super Pro Truck driver Chris Turbush won the New England Truck Series race at Waterford. Kyle Ellwood won the Legend car event at Mountain Speedway. Justin Bonsignore won the $1,000-to-win Champ Kart event at New York’s Poughkeepsie Speedway.
